Mental Health Awareness Initiative
In Collaboration with Nigerian American Mental Health Practitioners USA Inc.
Umuada Igbo Nigeria and in Diaspora is proud to partner with Nigerian American Mental Health Practitioners USA Inc. on a groundbreaking initiative to promote mental health awareness and education in Nigeria.
Together, we are working to dispel harmful myths and break the stigma surrounding mental health by fostering open dialogue, community engagement, and access to accurate information. As part of this collaboration, a portion of land generously allocated to us by Godfrey Okoye University has been earmarked for the construction of a dedicated Mental Health Plaza.
This centre will serve as a hub for advocacy, education, and support bringing mental health into the heart of our communities and ensuring that it is treated with the understanding, care, and dignity it deserves.
This initiative represents a bold step toward healing, inclusion, and holistic well-being for all Nigerians.
